iorad provides a simple solution for creating guided step-by-step tutorials, instructions and knowledge base articles for any desktop or web application. Users can train employees on how to use the apps that power their organization or provide customers with guided tutorials on using a product, without ever having to manually take a screenshot.

iorad captures everything the user does inside the capture frame and automatically breaks it down into step-by-step instructions. It knows where the actions took place, highlights them, and creates editable text instructions based on what the user clicked on. All text can be translated instantly with Google Translate by selecting a language from the list within the platform.

The live preview mode shows creators exactly what users will see and experience during the tutorial. iorad accommodates different learning styles by including methods such as simple to follow outlined steps, a hard copy printout, and the interactive ‘try steps’ mode which allows users to click-along and practice while following the directions. There is also a mobile version for users who are on-the-go and tutorial creators can preview how they will appear on a mobile screen.

Tutorials can be converted into a .pdf file for those who want to have the instructions printed on paper. All tutorials are automatically stored onto the iorad cloud, so users can copy and share the link or embed it on a website directly, with no uploading involved. I love it. Created 3 click-throughs for an ed-based platform, and plan on doing it again!

Pros

I loved that I could make a solid click-through tutorial or how-to for our staff.

Cons

My only issue is that the first time staff saw it, they weren't clear what to do. Maybe blinking "do this" sort of helpers for new users?
