I find it most useful when I am planning to export several long-form videos out of Premiere Pro, but do not have the time to stop down to export each video throughout the workday. When you select Export from Premiere Pro, you can choose to "Queue" your video, which will add the video export to Media Encoder's queue. You can do this with an unlimited number of exports, and at the end of the day, you can press play and allow Media Encoder to create all of your video exports overnight (with Premiere closed if you wish).
