The User Interface is not very fancy or eye candy, but it's enough and easy understandable, even for beginners.

> **Cons**: a HUGE ONE : Electrum doesn't use standard BIP39 seed generation. 

It means:
1) if you lost your device, you will have to re-install Electrum (and only Electrum) to recover your tokens with your recovery phrase,
2) you cannot recover your wallet on different devices/software (Ledger, Trezor...) using your recovery phrase

> **Pros**: Electrum really gives me the feeling that my crypto coins are safe. For me personally, the whole recovery seed process has quite something mysterious, and I'm pretty sure no one can get to my wallet.

> **Cons**: On the other hand, it wasn't immediately easy to set up the account and figure out how to create different wallets and distribute my coins among them, that took quite a bit of time and effort. The customer service was helpful in guiding me there, but I probably wouldn't have managed it myself.

> For me, of all the cryptocurrency platforms, Electrum is definitely the one I feel most secure with and will definitely recommend. In my opinion it can certainly be a bit more complicated if it guarantees security.
