I like that Hostaway allows you to import and export a listing to multiple platforms and edit those listings (along with rules, amenities, etc) all within the Hostaway platform. I also like that Hostaway allows for mobile access and that the calendar syncs across listing platforms. > > **Cons**: The mobile usage of Hostaway is sometimes difficult to navigate. Some features are not available on mobile, like creating owners’ stays or clicking on a property’s links to platform-specific listings. Additionally, sometimes Hostaway does not sync correctly, and will allow for bookings to be accepted despite a calendar block. I would also love for Hostaway to adopt better mother/child listing options - for example, we have one listing where guests can rent one unit, two adjoining units, or the entire building (three separate listings). While we are able to place the individual unit under the two adjoining units, we are then unable to place the two adjoining units under the listing for the entire building. > > I use Hostaway on a daily basis to manage reservations for 100+ short term vacation rentals across VRBO, Airbnb, and more, including on our own website. I mostly use Hostaway for the calendar view, creating direct reservations, and viewing guest messages. I experienced a double booking that should have been prevented by the software, resulting in the cancellation of a guest reservation. This caused unnecessary stress, affected my reputation as a host, and cost me valuable time. I expected the platform to reliably synchronize calendars and prevent booking conflicts. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. While the platform offers many features, reliability is the most important aspect of property management software, and this issue significantly impacted my business.
