BigTime Overview

What is BigTime?

BigTime is a time and billing software that helps professional service firms in various industries to track time and invoice clients. Users can manage project teams, work in process (WIP), as well as measure profitability per project, and even per staff. BigTime helps users get paid faster with the least amount of friction. Organizations can streamline the workflow with the Quickbooks integration developed by the BigTime development team, selected by Intuit as their OEM developers.

Users can track and report on their team's time and expenses online using BigTime's iPhone or Android apps when they're on the go. BigTime's web app is accessible from a web browser and responds to any device size. Improve business cash flow with BigTime by tracking WIP, and effectively bill throughout the project to keep the cash flow coming in. Tracking and reporting accurately in BigTime allows users to give customers peace of mind that their investment is worthwhile, eliminating any objections to payment.

Users can manage contractors, and invite them to join the project team as needed, and track their time per project. BigTime's expert consultants will walk users through how BigTime can be used in their business to truly optimize business workflow.

We use BigTime for Professional Services Automation. It is great for our multilevel company.

Our company is not able to more accurately and completely track time to be charged to a project. Our systems are now more automated and more paperless.

So glad I found BigTime!

We are just getting started with BigTime, so I can't speak yet to the changes it's made for our organization. However, if the enthusiasm my team has displayed about potential benefits BigTime can offer us is any indication, we are going to be very happy indeed! The BigTime sales rep was so helpful, friendly, responsive, and informative while he was walking us through the product demonstrations that I feel like I know the software fairly well even though my hands-on experience with it is still minimal. I think the biggest challenge will just be to get everything configured in a way that allows us to get the most out of it. Based on my experience with customer service, I have no doubt that they will help us over any hurdles that pop up if we need to reconfigure things at a later time.

Our company is not able to more accurately and completely track time to be charged to a project. Our systems are now more automated and more paperless.

Pros

BigTime allows users from a variety of backgrounds to connect to the software from various platforms (desktop, laptop, smart phone) to track time per project, to track expenses on a daily basis with electronic submission of receipts, to run reports on time spent, to connect with external accounting software seamlessly.

Cons

the software has some limits on "naming" items that do not always correspond directly to our external software and do not fit within our company culture. (For example: In BigTime, billable means charged to the project, may invoiced or may not invoice. In our company culture, billable means an invoice will be sent for payment to the client.

I love the software for invoicing.

Pros

I think the software is very user friendly, however, there are parts of it that I have never used and not sure how to use it.

Cons

I think the software is very easy to use, but I would like to know more about how to use the features I don't use.

- Dedicated, personalized customer service.
- Lots of customization options.
- Thorough training process to help us make the most of the software.
- Customers can make requests for software updates or changes, and BigTime is responsive to them.

Cons

- The grey, tan and orange color scheme, and I'm only mentioning that because I have to write something in this section!

Pros

I like that you are able to create your own engagements per client.

Cons

I least like the invoice part as it does not function how it is suppose too. There are to many steps for it to be integrated into QuickBooks.
