It is just great. Functionality, UX. What often stays underappreciated is the Tableau community. Even though the support far from being the best one (I guess company grew too big), one can always find the answers in the community or simply share a sample workbook and others will help.
Pros
I love almost everything about the Tableau. It is a pure joy to create and analyze report. The data visualization capabilities are simply the best on the market and it is so easy to use that it is just mind-blowing. One can connect Tableau workbook to almost any imaginable data source and in a matter of minutes create a great report.
Cons
It is really hard to think about the cons, but if it is really necessary then Tableau Prep can be quite slow if the file tend to combine more than three sources with the number of columns exceeding a 100. Even if the number of rows is fairly small (less than 1000).

Overall experience is positive. The visualizations is great, the drag and drop feature is like working on an excel pivot table. It can also transform the data to excel to further process
Pros
Tableau allows users to create a wide variety of interactive, high-quality visualizations, such as charts, maps, and dashboards, with drag-and-drop ease. The tool is user friendly and very simple to learn + use
Cons
The tool could become complex for some users for in-depth analysis / calculation. However, if you have been using other similar tool, this should not be an issue. The formatting is somewhat limited but it is not much of an issue

I found it comfortable to use, the only notable drawback is its support which is paid. But the rest is very remarkable.
Pros
Most useful is being able to use the drag-and-drop function, which saves time creating data visualizations in a simple way. Analyzing the data is a plus, it can be done with filters or my favorite "trend analysis".
Cons
Tableau support is not free, you must pay for a plan to access it. And the stability issue itself is a negative factor as well, as it slows down for large amounts of data.

I really love using it for maps and interactive dashboards but I prefer to prepare my data in another software (Excel or Alteryx) before using it in Tableau.
Pros
I love its map functionalities - it's so simple to create a detailed map of locations of company X in country Y or locations of various companies in country Y on a heatmap with population density. You can divide your map by different categories, use different colours for different categories and it just has so many possibilities that it's really fun to use.
Cons
Connecting different data sources can be a little frustrating - you need to be careful with your file extensions and always double-check your data types.

Data exploration on steroids.
Reviewed on 12/05/2024
Pros
Its outstanding visualization capabilities, has appealed to me the most. The quality of my data visualization activity on Tableau is far superior to what I have gotten from substitute business intelligence or analytics tools.
Tableau's infusion of generative AI into my data visualization and analysis experience, enables me to integrate predictive modeling into my Tableau workflow, thereby improving the quality of insights I generate from my data.
Cons
Tableau comes with a steep learning curve and it is simply not for early stage data professionals. To learn to use Tableau effectively, a user must have had experience using lesser visualization platforms in the past.

Great for data storage and visulation
Reviewed on 28/05/2024
Pros
My team was able to successfully set up a nightly data feed from Technolutions Slate to Tableau to store historical admissions data. It was important to implement Tableau because there's no way that takes snapshots of data in Slate as it's always changing. Once the data storage was set up my team was able to create many different dashboards to display complicated data to other team members to use. One dashboard we were able to create uses slate data from many different storage tables and pulls together appointment data over time so I can monitor workload volume. This has been a really useful visualization tool.
Cons
You will definitely need a data and Excel expert to set up the dashboard and reporting initially as there's a little clunkiness and set it up charts but it still does the job.

Overall Tableau has been an excellent data visualization tool that has allowed me to quickly create high quality, impactful dashboards.
Pros
Tableau makes creating impactful, visually attractive dashboards quick and easy. The software connects to most structured data sources to quickly import your data and you can then link your data in the software to create additional tables that you can build visual from. A very flexible data visualization tool.
Cons
When you are trying to create complex dashboard or blend data across multiple primary keys it can be difficult to do inside the tools and I found myself creating custom tables in a SQL database to get the correct data blend. Large data sets, especially calculated fields can really slow down the software and make the dashboard feel sluggish. There are also certain actions / chart changes that feel like they should be simple but take "hacking" the software to accomplish. These can be frustrating and time consuming.

The ease of use of this software is advantageous with respect to real estate, as it allows for the analysis of price trends, occupancy rates by zones, yields and much more. This has allowed us to obtain a greater economic benefit.
Pros
The best thing about Tableau is its limits, as it adapts to the needs of the organization. From small to large, the limits depend on the organization, not the software. And also the way the data is visualized is easy to understand.
Cons
While it can work with any type of data, it becomes optimal when working with structured data, so you must have staff capable of structuring the data into rows and columns or you will not be able to take full advantage of the software.

Tableau gives you the tools to create whatever reports you need for your business. It is very user friendly, and we use it daily for pulling information from our cooperative software.
Pros
What I love about Tableau is how easy it is to quickly change, modify and filter reports to produce the exact data visualizations that you need. In the office, we use it a lot for simple reporting measures.
Cons
It might just be our software, but we are unable to change the visuals for our reports. Font style, size and colors are not able to be changed from our view, but it would be nice to have the option.

Best BI tool out there - super flexible, scalable, securely integrated with most you may need (databricks, alteryx, aws, MATLAB, R etc) and oh my, is it performant! Most dashboards will lag when fed large datasets, not tableau. Allows you to tell your story, quickly and reliably every time.
Pros
Most impressive points (and ones that make it worth the price tag) are performance and the extensive list of native data connectors and partner ecosystem
Cons
Not cheap/very accessible to most SMEs. Free version is really good, but limited in some key functionality (e.g. sharing is only available to paid users or you have to share public/create potential issues with data protection)
