Overall happy with the system. There are always improvements we wish were available, and Paycom is willing to submit these suggestions as future improvements - but the system works for our needs with an employee count that falls within the 200-500 range.
Pros
The functionality just makes sense. We are able to use all of the benefits of the system together to have some automations within our HRIS system.
Cons
The lack of integration with other systems. We really want our other vendors/retirement services/etc. to have 360 integrations.

I use paycom to track our US team's learning, but there's no easy way to create a report just for that team so I have to resort to going into each user profile one by one to check if they have completed certain training. If it can be done, I can't find it in the list of pre-determined reports.
Pros
Paycom has a lot of useful functions such as the learning management system in the form of Paycom Learning and basic HR system functions such as leave approval. There's an ATS which we haven't set up since we adopted the system a few years ago.
Cons
We tried to adopt Paycom for our Australian operations but the app didn't work in that region and we encounter roadblocks (social security numbers don't exist in Australia but it was required for log in, payroll tax rates couldn't be adapted for this region). Ultimately, we could have tried to make it work but when we were looking into it, our management team decided to proceed with a local product. We were informed that the system would work in Australia but when it came to implementation it didn't - left a sour taste with the management team. User interface is also old-fashioned and looks clunky from the 90s.

Payroll and on boarding are easy and fast now. I like that I have all employee's info in one spot.
Cons
Time punches, Time punch edits. EX: The system allows a user to have 2 of the same punch (2 Ins or 2 outs) instead of erroring the user and saying you already have an in punch would you like to edit it, instead of letting them create a new punch. PTO could use some more rules to help us. I don't like seats.

Slow to get custom reporting built. It seems to take an extensive amount of time to get approval for, price out and actually build a custom report.

I love that we have a dedicated specialist, how our implementors are very forthcoming and open about Paycom, the navigation, and usability of Paycom.
Cons
If there was a better way to complete expenses for supervisors, as this is apart of my role, that would be better. Something that allows us to edit, review, and submit expense reports on the behalf of others more smoothly and easily - without extra steps that may be unnecessary or unavailable.

I have never experienced a worse, more unsatisfying service experience in my personal or professiona...
I have never experienced a worse, more unsatisfying service experience in my personal or professional life than I have with Paycom. If it was easier to switch away from Paycom, we would have been with a competitor once I realized that Paycom's business is selling lies. Paycom operates with no integrity. A review of our account would show thousands of written and verbal communications regarding an array of issues that spans nearly everything Paycom is supposed to do for us, but it's staff is either too busy or too unfamiliar with the Paycom software to fix most of the issues. Lack of movement on these issues has been communicated to varying levels of management on multiple arms of Paycom's hierarchy.
Our issues started during implementation with a backend setup person who encouraged our company to break laws because he did not know how to properly calibrate settings to match legal guidelines. It seems like nothing he did was correct. Here we are 2 years later with many of the issues still unsettled and we as customers still voicing our concerns whenever we have time to follow up on the trail of unresponded to communications.
Despite all this, Paycom has never offered credits for any of these issues nor solutions for many that are still outstanding. I am repulsed every time I see an ad for Paycom knowing that they are spending money to scam new, unsuspecting customers into signing on rather than using those funds to properly train staff.
If Paycom's poor organizational design and policies weren't bad enough, they also seem to be hampered by inadequate infrastructure. Both winters that we have been with Paycom, they have not been able to to operate with full functionality because the staff (which they claimed was local) is unable to get to work due to the seasonal freezes and bad weather that has been increasingly frequent in Texas. During these times, it seems as if much of the staff works from home since they cannot make it to the office. In our case, our assigned representative did not have the ability to work from home and became unreachable during the crucial end of the year period when we needed assistance with tasks such as correcting W2s, setting up special funding arrangements to accommodate the holidays, and updating the many new minimum wages in all of our different jurisdictions. I feel for those who are personally impacted in these situations, but payroll is the type of function that you have to be able to depend on all of the time.
This company is such a joke.

Horrible customer service - Paycom is so customizable that representatives are unfamiliar with how their own software works or how changing one setting will impact other settings
They sell it like your assigned representative will assist you with things, but in reality, it is hard to get a hold of your actual rep and when you do get a hold of someone, they usually just try to make you do everything yourself. It seems like they do this so that they can later say that the customer made the change and is responsible for any of the ramifications even if you did what you were told to do.

Overall we are very happy with the product. It was easy to get set up and I find myself looking to use more and more of the fields and options because the reporting is really great! It has been a pretty quick learning curve because the interface is pretty user friendly.
Pros
The implementation process was quick and fairly straight forward. Our sales person remained on our account as support throughout the implementation process and that was comforting. We had a timeline and we were able to adhere to it and processed our first payroll on time. When we had questions, we received answers quickly by reps that we recognized. The general ledger reporting is also easy to update and customize.
Cons
We had a couple issues with benefits implementation. It was a little difficult to understand what we were setting up and how it would all flow through. May recommend asking for a benefits specific demo. We also have had to file a few jurisdictions that have cost some extra fees that I didn't think about up front it may be nice to do a review before implementation of what may be needed.

The BETI payroll has made processing payroll much simpler and less time consuming. Employees like the ability to approve their timecards and review and approve their pay checks.
Cons
Paycom's manuals on setting up various processes can be confusing but improving. Customer service has improved drastically over the past couple of years. The payroll process was not intuitive and very frustrating and that has improved too.

My dedicated specialist and the excellent customer service. The database is very user friendly and easy to use.

The recently added terminated employee process in Beti needs a major overhaul. Very confusing and never does quite what I expect. I don't like using it but when I choose not to use it Paycom doesn't end some earnings.
Some of the forms need updated to be consistent with other recent updates. Some improvements haven't been tested by an end user like me. The words don't wrap or are not visible.

Great, even if there's an issue its easy to contact Paycom and work through the issue and final a solution. I personally think its user friendly as well.

I like that when I have an issue I can call my Paycom representative for questions.
It helpful especially when I am running Payroll and in a time crunch.
Cons
I only had a couple times where updates have been a downgrade for features I regularly used. Like not being able to download supporting doc from reimbursement as a batch instead now it one by one.

Paycom's functionality is great compared to other payroll systems I have used. I like that it is all in one spot. I also enjoy that you can customize the documents employees / supervisor's sign.
Cons
I have experienced working with a customer service rep that knew less than I did about the system. While Paycom does have "team" for your account, it isn't always helpful. It would be nice if Paycom worked better with other accounts, such as benefit providers.
