I enjoy using loom for making quick presentations for work. I recommend Loom to anyone who might want to use it for content creation or just to make quick videos.
Pros
loom is very easy to use, a plug-and-play kind of situation and I can get my presentations done without much hustle.
Cons
Loom primarily operated as an online tool. This means that users need an internet connection to record and access their videos.

Loom was easily adopted across the organisation with people enjoying the UX/UI and ease to generate high quality content. Loom is riding the way of video content crucial for internal and external alignment as you scale.
Pros
Loom is such an incredibly easy tool to use across the company. We've used a few solutions in the past including slack recordings and clickup but truthfully, Loom has far more powerful capabilities via their rich feature set. Instant embed is a huge feature for us enabling you to simply copy and paste a link. The ability to measure insights and analytics on videos is important given we use Loom for external business development. In addition, the ability to tag others in a video, comment and engage supercharges your ability to work seamlessly across timezones. We have employees all over the world so it's crucial.
Cons
The biggest challenge was whether we actually choose a dedicated video platform (additional charges + additional learning internally and yet another tool). ClickUp is getting far more sophisticated with recordings and of course, you want to consolidate as much as you possibly can. In saying that, in the end, Loom is too good and we decided to use alongside other tools.

Horrible experience with Loom - warning everyone

I used Loom for 2 months, and experienced several instances of video recording randomly stopping. There was no pattern to it and no explanation. Randomly, it would just stop recording mid video. However, the infuriating part is that THERE IS NO INDICATION THE RECORDING HAS STOPPED. I'd just keep making video, hit save, and find out my 5 minute video was actually a 37 second video, and I'd just wasted a bunch of time. This has been an issue that has plagued me since day one, and I have attempted to reach out to support only to learn THERE IS NO SUPPORT. It's just a feature request system - it's a joke. This is a terrible tool, it has wasted hours of productivity, and I would strongly caution anyone from using it. It is unreliable and there is no support.
Pros
At first glance, Loom seemed like a great screen recording tool that saved time.
Cons
Screen recording feature randomly fails - you'll be making a video to explain something to someone, and recording will stop. However, you won't *know* recording has stopped, so you'll waste minutes talking away, hit save, and find out your video didn't fully record. Infuriating.

Its been amazing. As soon as you are done recording you have a copied link that you can quickly send to someone else. Its also really intuitive and takes very little or no training.
Pros
Its free FOREVER for educators. BUT its not an inferior product. Its an amazing product that we would probably pay for if it wasn't free.
Cons
Out of all my tools on my Mac, I feel like this updates all the time. Not bad by any means, outside of a very slight inconvenience.

Helped me a lot of times to create quick tutorials for my team members.
Pros
I like that you can use it for free (with certain limits) to be able to make an informed decision before buying. It's also a very convenient tool thanks to the practical sharing options.
Cons
The browser extension, while seemingly practical, didn't work well for me at all. Most of the time I had to use the main app instead.

Highly recommended. You can record your videos anytime. Get notified when your videos are watched and commented. Some other employer requires this loom video for your introduction when you applying. You can upload it or copy the link and send it. You can login using your personal acct like Gmail or Yahoo mail. I'm using it for about 6 months.
Pros
What I like the most is very useful and user-friendly. You can use your personal account to record your video.
Cons
The feature of preview cannot play the whole recording of your video.

Overall, my experience using Loom was great. It really allowed me to record and edit the training content we needed for the team. I used to have to re-record content several times to get a good take, but Loom makes it so much easier to edit and get what you need out of a recording.
Pros
I loved that Loom provided a lot of versatility in how you wanted to record content. You could choose which tab or screen, audio or just video, or even add a video of you talking through the presentation at the bottom corner.
Cons
There was definitely a bit of a learning curve trying to learn to use this tool and maximize it's features. For example, I didn't know I could cut snippets of the video out until much later and even then it took some time to figure out, but that's also one of my favorite features once I did figure it out.

Overall my experience has been positive, and my clients have greatly appreciated the software when I send them explanations with video to accompany it.
Pros
I work remotely with various clients who record podcasts. That means that I'm managing a tech-based product, often times with clients who are not fluent in technology. I use Loom to go over systems, software, and processes in real time so the client can watch what I'm doing on their own time, and refer back to it if they need to in order to properly learn how to use the system/software etc.
Cons
There isn't really anything I don't like about Loom - it is exactly what it says it is. Even just using the free version, you can record multiple 5 minute videos if you have a longer message to portray.

Cons

Decent screen recorder. Worth checking out.
Pros
Loom helped make popular the concept of sending screen recordings via a link. After you record a screen-share its quickly uploaded and a link to the video created. It does this much faster than Google drive does.
Cons
Sometimes with software like Loom they start with a great concept eg easily make screen recordings that can be quickly shared via a link but then in an effort to improve it they add lots of options that you dont need so the UI is a bit cluttered.
