Pros

The automation and defaults have gotten a lot better. The sync function to QB & Sage Intacct works pretty well and decreases duplicative effort. The security around users and banking is well-designed. The note functionality is great for communicating with my staff and maintaining history. Customer support is generally good.

Cons

The reporting is definitely lacking. Running filtered reports is limited and cumbersome. I end up running huge reports when I only need one vendor's history. The sync function works well when it works, but the sync errors can be really complicated. Sometimes, support doesn't get what you're trying to accomplish - it doesn't seem like they all have experience using the product.

Creates AP efficiencies, but difficulty in 3-way match processing

Pros

It's very easy to use, and eliminates paper checks and manual processing of wires and ACH payments.

Cons

The cost, the setup/implementation into our ERP system (Netsuite), and we had difficulty processing inventory prepayments and three-way match transactions.

We continue to use it for the controls and time savings, the support is some of the worst I've ever experienced though.

Pros

This product is great for companies that need to pay large swaths of invoices, keep track of them, and cut time spent in quickbooks doing bookkeeping for AP.

Cons

This product is more expensive if you run under 20 payments/month that something like a milio (built into to quickbooks online).

Bill is the real deal

Pros

The Bill software is user friendly and set up took only a few minutes. I like that my business has the options of either paying by ach or credit card. In addition to processing payments, one can also send invoices.

Cons

This is not a complaint. The first couple of payments make take a couple of days to process, simply as a fraud prevention measure. After that though, payments are almost instant.

Easy For Entire Company Use

Pros

While I am not in our Accounting Team, I use the BILL website and mobile application for reconciliation of my business credit card (Divvy Card). Comparative to other reconciliation systems I enjoy the ease of seeing the amount I have available to me, the budgets my company has set, and the option to request funds from the mobile app.

Cons

So far I have not come across any issues with BILL or my Divvy Card set up. I am very strict about my spending, budget, and maintaining all invoices and receipts. Since transactions automatically come up once the card is used for reconciliation and there is no buffer time, I could see a potential to feel overwhelmed, but I actually prefer this feature!

Pros

The simplicity of BILL makes it worth it all! All of the features allow for many things to be done through one source. The customer service has been very helpful every time that I have needed assistance!

Cons

I personally have not had any issues while using BILL so far and I do not see that changing!

I believe this organization may have some of the worse customer service in the payment processing industry. Strongly recommend using almost anyone else.

Pros

I love that you can issue payments using a bank account or a credit card with a fairly quick turnaround time. The pricing of Bill is also very competitive compared to our other options.

Cons

Virtual card payments are not something I love. Also, Bill has automatically connected me with vendors that are not the vendor I had entered, so there is an opportunity for improvement in the network connections.

Pros

That there are no lost or forgotten invoices anymore. Bill.com reminds my clients that they have outstanding invoices.

Cons

It was a bit difficult to set up my account initially. The first invoice payment wasn't coming through for several weeks. Almost made me give up. But then whatever problem there was got resolved and it has worked for me since.

Pros

It creates very professional looking pdf invoices and you can adjust the templates to however you like. The best thing about it is that it supports multiple currencies.

Cons

If you are moving from another billing software, it can be difficult to transfer all data and very time consuming to transfer it smoothly.

Pros

It's the perfect match for managing the invoicing, getting paid faster and translating all this documentation to natively integrate it with the accounting program.

Cons

The pricing that is user based and not account based which makes it quite expensive if more than one person has to use it

The features that I like are ease of use and ease of approvals within our organization. I also like the ability for the software to learn from invoices and apply that learning to coding future invoices.

Cons

The one feature that I would add is the ability to utilize humans to analyze very large and complex bills.

It's a bit old fashioned. I think it's a little harder to navigate and the UX could use an update.

Bill is pretty easy to setup. They are a big company and onboarding is easy. It’s not the prettiest thing I’ve used but it works.

Cons

The app is just okay. It gets the job done but it’s not bad easy as some competitors.

Easy to make an invoice or upload your own on bill.com, plus lots of useful payment updates

Pros

As a consultant, I love being able to upload my own PDF invoice to bill.com, which then extracts the core information my client needs to see and presents it in a packaged, clear way, while also retaining the PDF of the more detailed invoice in my custom, branded format. I appreciate bill.com's notification emails when payment has been approved (especially since it includes an estimated payment date) and then when it has been sent to my bank account.

Cons

It's great that bill.com has advanced security, but I do end up resetting my password all the time since I switch between a lot of different devices, locations and IP addresses.

It is certain that Bill.com has increased our capabilities and efficiency in processing bills through one system, as all processing operations are carried out through one platform, and all operations have become easy to follow, which helped us save time and effort.

Pros

Bill.com is a magical solution for presenting and documenting invoices via e-mail. This enables us to approve invoices, obtain the required approvals for them, and include them in the records directly, without the need to wait for the paper copy, which may take days or weeks to arrive. I really appreciate how Bill.com's advanced automation has made processing processes smooth and fast, and has made fully automated AP processing much easier. I like very much the ease of modifying fields as needed and the export and import options, as this enables us to obtain the reports we need in detail, and I greatly appreciate the search and filter capabilities available in Bill.com, which enable us to search in multiple databases and extract the bills we need as we want.

Cons

Since I started using Bill.com, I have not encountered any technical problems, as all the tools are easy to use, and the services of the Bill.com support team are very excellent, as they have responsive technical support.
